Vice-Chancellor's Working Visit to Open University

The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Paul Waako is on a three-day working visit to the Open University, United Kingdom. he has held a number of discussions with the team behind the Open Extended Reality program (Open XR) and discussions centered on how Busitema University can build capacity and embrace extended reality for training.

The Open University accepted a request to enter a memorandum of understanding with Busitema University and will send a delegation to our next Graduation Ceremony due in June 2023. We are extremely grateful to  Professor Duncan Banks for hosting the Busitema University Delegation.

The Vice-Chancellor had the opportunity to visit some simulation centers at Burkngham Hospital and held discussions on how Busitema University and Open University can strengthen collaboration in the use of simulation in teaching and conduct joint research.
