AICAD: A Beacon of Hope for Human Capacity Development in East Africa

In a landmark decision at the recent annual meeting of the African Institute for Capacity Development (AICAD) in Uganda, Prof. Paul Waako, the esteemed Vice Chancellor of Busitema University, was appointed as the representative of Ugandan Vice Chancellors on the AICAD governing board and elevated to the position of Vice Chair of the Board for the next two years. This momentous occasion marks a significant step towards furthering the mission of AICAD – poverty reduction in the African region through human capacity development.

AICAD, an international organization funded by the Governments of Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, has its headquarters nestled within the prestigious Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in Juja town.
