BUOLE Upgrade and possible disruptions

We shall have a planned upgrade of our Busitema University Online Learning Environment (BUOLE) from Sunday 18th June 2023 to Saturday 24th June 2023.

On Sunday 18th June, all users of BUOLE will be redirected to a temporary cloud-based server to enable a full upgrade and revamping of the BUOLE site.

While the upgrade is taking place, users will be served by the temporary site which has been set to respond and appear exactly same way as present site. There should therefore be no noticeable changes to the user experience but, should there be any unforeseen disruptions, users should contact their faculty ODeL technical support officers for assistance. It is also recommended that real-time sensitive activities like quizzes should not be scheduled during this period.

Users will be switched to the new upgraded site in the course of the week. This may necessitate first turning off the old system and transferring all data therein to the new system. We shall provide further notification when we need to do this.

We regret any inconveniences this may cause our BUOLE users but reassure you that all efforts have been made to make such disruptions as minimal as possible.
