Stakeholder's Engagement: Busitema University and Uganda Railways Corporation

On the morning of Wednesday, July 26, 2023, Busitema University delegation led by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Paul Waako in the company of Top Management Members, Maritime Institute Director Prof. Waiswa Wilson Mwanja and staff of the Institute were hosted by Uganda Railways Corporation Management Team led by the Head of Human Resources Mr. Okanang Patrick and accompanied by Corporation Secretary Ms. Grace Opoka, and the Principal Operations Officer in Charge of Marines Eng. Musiime David. The teams discussed possible areas of collaboration including developing training programmes in the areas of marine and maritime engineering starting with professional short courses, and undergraduate and graduate programmes. The teams agreed on formalizing the partnership by signing a memorandum of understanding.
