Busitema University has emerged number 1 for the second time, winning a trophy at the National Agriculture Schools Exhibition in Jinja in the University Category. The trophy has been handed over by Rt Hon Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Paul Waako hosted the Secretary General of the National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches of Uganda Bishop Dr. Magezi Africano and several leaders at Busitema University, Busitema Campus, Main Administration Block. CPA Ms. Josephine Okui Ossiya has made history by becoming the first female President of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) taking over from CPA Constant Othieno Mayende after two years at the helm. She is also the Board Member of the Bank of Uganda
CPA Ms. Josephine Okui Ossiya was reappointed by President Yoweri Museveni in a letter to the Speaker of Parliament as a Member of the Board of Directors of Bank of Uganda.
Prof. Sudi Nangoli has been named the new Managing Director of the Uganda Printing and Publishing Company (UPPC). Prof. Sudi served as the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, at Busitema University and is a Board Member of the Busitema University Fund Company.

Busitema University, Faculty of Health Sciences holds an inception meeting with the Chongqing Medical College in China to discuss collaboration on joint programmes in Pharmaceutical Production Technology and Pharmacy under the China-Africa TVET Joint Education Programme.
The meeting was coordinated by Eng. Dr. Caleb of SunMaker Uganda and Dr. Samuel Baker Obakiro of Busitema University was attended by Top Managers of both Institutions.
